Our Mystical Ceremony is a 1 hour cultural experience held in our beautiful gardens besides the Urubamba River. Led by an Andean shaman, you’ll marvel at the powerful aura of this ritual. The shaman will perform a harmonization rite, which promotes the atonement, cleansing and revitalization of the soul.

You can also choose to have the shaman read the coca leaves for you at an additional cost.

At 8.00 am, 12.00 and 4.00 pm guests are invited to assist our farm workers with the bottle feeding of the young alpacas. Lasting around fifteen minutes, this is a great opportunity to get close to some of the Urubamba Vally's unique nature.

Whilst you are on the farm, our farm workers will be delighted to explain the techniques of farming in the Sacred Valley.

Hotel Rio Sagrado can loan guests binoculars to spot the birds of the Sacred Valley.  Some Andean birds you might see in the area are the famous giant hummingbirds, Peruvian Sierra-Finches, and local sparrows and doves.
